Our Story

Vorxenortroxix was founded in 2011 by a group of professional photographers who recognized a gap in quality photography education in Auckland. What started as small weekend workshops has grown into a comprehensive photography school in New Zealand.

Our mission remains unchanged: to provide accessible, high-quality photography education that transforms passionate beginners into confident photographers. We believe everyone has a unique perspective worth sharing, and we're here to help you develop the technical skills to express it.

Our Facilities

Located in the creative heart of Grey Lynn, our purpose-built studio provides everything needed for comprehensive photography education. The 300-square-meter space includes dedicated areas for different aspects of photographic learning.

Our main teaching studio features professional lighting equipment, backdrop systems, and ample space for group sessions. The editing suite is equipped with calibrated monitors and the latest software for post-processing instruction.

The printing lab houses multiple large format printers and a comprehensive paper library. We also have a comfortable student lounge where our community gathers to share work and exchange ideas.

Natural light floods through large windows facing north, perfect for understanding daylight photography. When we need different environments, Auckland's diverse locations are just minutes away.
